Vauxhall ( googeL qui)
Down-to-earth Vauxhall is with long-established bars and clubs along Kennington Lane and under the nearby railway arches. Green spaces include Vauxhall Park, with tennis courts and a model village, and the Pleasure Gardens, hosting regular cultural and community events. The small Vauxhall City Farm is home to horses, alpacas, and sheep, with opportunities for feeding and petting.
1729 ) The first and most important of these gardens, Vauxhall, was established in 1729 by the entrepreneur Jonathan Tyers. While the site had been a place for Londoners to gather and buy refreshments since the 1660s, Tyers realised that there was a market for paid entertainment.24 Oct 2017
